Update Capistrano Unified School District COVID-19 Safety Plan (Updated 3/28/22)

             Outdoor Sports/Facilities

    • Masks are optional for all in K-12 settings.
    • Students may remove face coverings while outdoors.
    • Employees may remove face coverings outside; it is recommended that individuals not fully vaccinated should wear a face covering when they are within 6 feet of others.

             Indoor Sports/Facilities

    • Athletes are strongly recommended to wear a mask when actively practicing, conditioning, or competing in sports - even during heavy exertion as practicable.  It is strongly recommended that individuals undergo screening testing at least once weekly.  The district will continue to require weekly screening with Ambry PCR testing.
    • Masks are strongly recommended indoors for athletes while they are on the bench, sidelines and no actively participating or competing in sport.  This includes team meetings, and within locker and weight rooms.
    • When two teams are playing in counties with differing protocols, schools must comply with the guidance of the county where the contest is being played, if it is more restrictive.

    Spectators / Media

    • Outdoor:  Masks are optional.
    • Indoor: Masks are strongly recommended.

We look forward to continuing to provide a safe and supportive environment for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year and the 29 individual sports, 72 individual teams, and over 1,400 student-athletes competing this year!!  TraditionCommitment and Excellence is Triton Athletics!!  #TRITONSTRONG
