As of 3/23/21, Orange County’s COVID Case rate has dropped to 3.5 per 100,000 and the Positivity rate has dropped to 2.1% which puts the County on track to move to the less restrictive Orange Tier.
This has allowed for our indoor sports to return to practice and competitions with mandatory COVID testing protocols in place. The testing program began on Friday, March 13th and our indoor sport student-athletes and coaches are already used to the routine.
We now have 27 sports and 71 individual teams practicing and competing and the key to all of this continuing without interruption will be everyone following strict protocols for a safe return to play for each sport and adhering to all California Dept. of Public Health COVID-19 guidelines. It is our hope that a safe restart will lead to complete and uninterrupted competition seasons moving forward. #TRITONSTRONG
